Questions

Is Hourmark free?

Yes. No paid tier, no trial, nothing locked.

Does Hourmark track me all the time?

No — only while a session is running. Pause or stop it and recording stops. Never press start and nothing is recorded.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in Chrome’s extension storage. No account, no server, no sync.

Why does it ask for access to all websites?

It cannot know in advance which sites you will study on. It reads only the address and title of the page, and only during a session.

Can I track studying away from the computer?

Yes, with manual time entry. Manual entries never get invented browsing attached.

Can I get my data out?

CSV for spreadsheets, or a JSON backup Hourmark can import again.
